We are Family! All my brothers, sisters and ME!

We had my family Reunion the end of July. It was great to see all of my siblings except Tyson who is still on his mission in Michigan. We had fun crafting, playing games and building a true, blue redneck water slide.

Lagoon: FUN IN THE SUN

This year we skipped our usual 4th of July tradition going to the Idaho Falls fireworks show to go to Utah and take our kids to their first amusement park experience. We spent the weekend with Kent's awesome sister Lisa who lives in Layton. We had a fun BBQ on the 4th with her and Kent's other sister Kara and her family.

July 5,2011 *ORANGE DAY*

We had so much fun at Lagoon. The weather was perfect the first day and for the first 2 or 3 hours we didn't even wait in lines. Our kids had a blast. Our good friends the Willis' came with us. I was a lame-o and didn't get much pictures and what I did get was only with my phone. But lets be honest, when you are in an amusement park trying to not lose 4 small children, pictures are the last thing on your mind. I was also a crazy mom and we were color coded. We did get quite a few looks.

July 6th,2011 * GREEN DAY*

We decided to take advantage of the deal Lagoon was doing for back to back days.

The second day we were a little more exhausted, but we still had fun. It was hotter so we spend a little time at Lagoona Beach, but I have to say we were not that impressed. The kids loved the rides but I was surprised how my equilibrium has changed as an adult. I still loved the roller coasters but it took me a lot longer to bounce back. So my favorite ride? The ladybug in kiddy land. No joke! It was a blast :)
I love my little family and can't wait for another fun day away!

I knew this day would come...

Well 2011 is the dreaded year.
JULY 3rd, 2011 to be exact.
I turned 30 this year. Why is leaving my 20's behind so hard. I don't FEEL old, I don't LOOK old (everyone thinks I am 24), but just the pure knowledge that I am now 30 has been hard.

That being said, I had a great birthday and Kent spoiled me with a Silhouette! I was so excited. I love it and I love that my hubby got it for me. He is the best. Here's to another year!

Fun Project

I picked this little beauty up on Craigslist for $5. I needed a small desk to put upstairs to hold the kids computer in an area where I can keep an eye on them.
As you can tell the "before" was a little scarey, but I love the "after"!!

M. A. D.

I was so excited when the company I work for, Keller Williams Realty volunteered to help with the M.A.D (Making a difference) Marathon hosted by the Osmond Family and the Olive Osmond Perpetual Hearing Fund. Such a great cause and they raised a lot of money to purchase hearing aids for children!

I showed up at 5 am that morning to help with corners and around the tent then got to run my first 5k at 9 am. I am not a runner but I was glad that I can say that I did it. In fact I will probably do another one this summer. At the last minute I also ran the 5k in Kangoo Shoes. I take a class at Apple Athletic Club with the shoes but I had never run a long distance in them. They are suppose to be really good for your joints and you are suppose to burn a lot more calories wearing them. Since I haven't run the race before I can't really compare to running with out them but I felt pretty good after. Crazy, but my abs were sore! Thanks to my awesome friend from work for running with me when she could have easily left me in the dust! ( I am a super slow runner)
